Somebody Do Something: An aptly named road in Washington Township, Pa.
This week Somebody Do Something has shifted back up to the Slate Belt, where reader Jenna McManus says Rutt Road in Washington Township, Pa., is in need of some attention.
She describes it as "an often forgotten area outside of Bangor, but the sides of the entire road are so torn up you're forced to drive down the middle of the road. With some windy turns, it gets to be sometimes dangerous when it comes down to oncoming traffic."
Are you familiar with this road? Tell us what you think by posting a comment below.
Somebody Do Something is a regular feature in which we focus on problem spots in the Lehigh Valley and northwest New Jersey. Among the problems we've drawn attention to are rundown buildings, dangerous or confusing traffic intersections (one was fixed), broken stairs (that were fixed), a bumpy road (that was fixed) a dangerous storm drain (that was fixed) and an uneven driveway (that was fixed). The goal is to highlight the problem, generate public discussion and, hopefully, get the problem fixed by those with the power to do so. If you know of a trouble spot that you'd like to see featured, post a comment below or email Janice Blake Piccotti at jpiccotti@express-times.com.?
