November 12, 2012 by Chloe?
For the benefit of artists and crafters who are just starting out and are looking to build a customer base, there are usually several arts and crafts shows held throughout Canada that allow new artisans to become known in the community. One popular artistic fair that has taken place in Saskatoon for the past 38 years is the Sundog Arts and Entertainment Faire.
The three-day fair is presented by the Sundog Arts Society and features over 200 artists and crafters selling items such as photographs, knitted items, glass, and paintings. In addition, the fair also presents live entertainment from local acts, children?s areas, a multicultural food court, information from local community organizations, and demonstrations on such skills as woodworking, pottery, and rug hooking. Attendees of a competitive nature will be pleased to hear that door prizes are also handed out.
No doubt those community organizations who wish to educate the public on what they do for the community will be depending on Saskatoon printing companies to provide them with such services as flyer and brochure printing.
The Sundog Arts and Entertainment Faire will take place at the Credit Union Centre from November 30 to December 2. Tickets for adults are $8 for one day or $12 for two days, while children aged 12 and under are admitted free. For more information call 306-384-7364 or visit the event?s website, which includes contact details and pictures of the kinds of work guests can expect to see.
