America grew stronger on his watch, Obama says

When the candidates were asked to define their views of the world they took decidedly different positions.

Romney stressed the importance of the U.S. economy in keeping the military strong. "You can't have 23 million people looking for jobs," Romney said. "We have to get our economy going."

He also accused Obama of weakening alliances with Israel and Poland, saying that cooperation between those nations has weakened under the Obama administration.

Obama took a confident stance, declaring,? "The world needs a strong America and it is stronger now than when I came into office," going on to add, "Governor Romney, our alliances have never been stronger."

The president then went back on the offensive, saying, "Both at home and abroad, he has proposed wrong and reckless policies."
